‘AHF Facts at a Glance’ Celebrates 5 years—and Incredible Growth and Progress in the Fight Against HIV and AIDS!

NOVEMBER 2019

On the heels of some truly incredible World AIDS Day celebrations, concerts and commemorations around the world hosted by AHF, we have another important milestone to share with you: This November 2019 ‘AHF Facts at a Glance’ marks the 5th anniversary for this important resource.

The first issue of Facts at a Glance debuted in November 2014 (and linked in this e-blast with the current November 2019 edition). We should all take pride in the remarkable forward progress AHF has made in its mission to ‘Keep the Promise’ on HIV prevention and care and treatment for those living with HIV or AIDS.

Some key statistics over the past 5 years:

In addition, in November 2014, AHF had just two (2) affiliate organizations, AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland and WORLD (Women Organized to Respond to Life-threatening Diseases). In addition, in 2014, AHF had just one affinity group—Impulse United, which celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala dinner and ceremony in conjunction with AHF’s Los Angeles World AIDS Day concert at the Ebell Theater.

So please take a moment this holiday season to reflect and celebrate what we together have accomplished over the years—and in particular, these last five years. As the fight continues, we go on emboldened by what we have accomplished, and now energized and recharged for what lays ahead. In closing, we hope you find “AHF Facts at a Glance” a useful resource.

Congratulations and thanks!
