Festival Fun in the Sun | Florida AIDS Walk

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) hosted the 16th annual Florida AIDS Walk on April 24, 2021 and raised two million dollars to support Floridians living with HIV and AIDS. Beneficiaries of the event include Equality Florida Institute, Latinos Salud, and The Pride Center at Equality Park. Between the generosity of donors and AHF’s dollar-for-dollar match on all Florida AIDS Walk donations, we now have two million dollars going directly to support HIV and AIDS resources in Florida.

Florida AIDS Walk was AHF’s first large-scale event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and was a testament to the resilience of our community and staff. The event was adherent to local COVID-19 safety guidelines to protect the wellbeing of both attendees and staff.

Safety protocols didn’t get in the way of the fun. Attendees were able to walk freely with masks and enjoy live performances from Lil’ Kim and Trina in the safety of their own physically distanced pods. The 16th annual Florida AIDS Walk was a welcome source of joy, and the funds raised bring hope for a brighter future ahead.
